For Umrah in early 2027 you are booking inside the 1448 AH season. The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah says the last Umrah visa is issued on 09/03/2027, the last entry is 23/03/2027 and everyone leaves by 07/04/2027. Ramadan is expected to start about 08/02/2027. People searching for "Umrah packages 2027" are usually asking three things: which dates are possible, when to book, and what a fair package must show. This page answers those and lists the new rules that change what a package contains. It does not quote prices. Any price you read for 2027 today, including on our own site, depends on dates and hotels that may not be fixed yet.
The Umrah 2027 dates
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah published the 1448 AH calendar on 17/05/2026. We read it again on 26/10/2026 and the dates were unchanged.

Easter 2027 falls after the last entry date, so an Easter trip is not possible on an Umrah visa this season. The dates for the Hijri months below are the expected starts on Saudi Arabia's Umm al-Qura calendar, and Ramadan, Shawwal and Dhul Hijjah can move a day after the moon sighting. Umrah in January, February and March 2027
Using those start dates, here is where each Gregorian month falls.
- January 2027: the first days are the end of Rajab, then Sha'ban. It is one of the cooler months in Makkah and the run-up to Ramadan, so demand builds towards the end of the month. See Umrah in Rajab and Sha'ban.
- February 2027: the first week is Sha'ban, and from about 08/02/2027 it is Ramadan. A trip that straddles the start of Ramadan sees the biggest jump in crowds and hotel rates. Our Umrah in Ramadan guide covers permits and families.
- March 2027: Ramadan ends and Eid al-Fitr is expected around 09/03/2027. The last visa is issued that day and the last entry is 23/03/2027, so a March trip has little room if your visa is late.
Ramadan Umrah package 2027: when to book
Sources disagree. Wego said on 09/09/2026 that Ramadan 2027 packages were not yet on sale and that operators usually load dates about three months ahead, which points to mid-November 2026. Trips.pk said on 04/10/2026 that advance booking is possible and told readers to request a current quotation. Some UK operators already list Ramadan 2027 dates.
Both can be true: an agent can take your request now and confirm hotels later. What matters is what you are asked to pay and when.
- Do not pay a large deposit before the hotels are named in writing.
- Ask what happens to your money if Nusuk dates or the visa do not come through.
- Wego also advises booking hotels near the Haram early for the last ten nights of Ramadan, which fall around 27/02/2027 to 08/03/2027 depending on the moon. We could not confirm hotel availability from any official source, so treat it as advice.
What changed this year and what it does to a package
Four changes from 2026 will shape any 2027 quote.
- The Nusuk food voucher. Pakistani outlets reported a daily meal charge of about SAR 20 built into the visa fee for travellers from Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and Egypt. We found no official notice, so ask whether your quote includes it. See our Nusuk food voucher guide.
- The one-year multiple-entry visa. It is valid for 365 days with up to 90 days in total in Saudi Arabia, and each visit needs its own Nusuk package and permit. It does not work during the Hajj season. See the one-year multiple-entry Umrah visa guide.
- The NADRA vaccination certificate. From Karachi the NADRA-linked record is checked at the airport, and Islamabad and Lahore had no start date on 26/10/2026. See NIMS NADRA vaccination certificate.
- Hotel and transport tied to the visa. Wego reports that every Umrah visa request must be linked to a Nusuk-verified hotel booking and pre-booked transport. We could not find the Ministry's own wording, so confirm it when you book. It is one reason an agent needs your dates early.
Wego also reports a 30-day entry window after the visa is issued. We could not confirm that in the Ministry text, so ask your agent and check Nusuk before you plan around it.
What a written quote for Umrah 2027 should list
Whoever you ask, look for these lines, each on its own:
- The exact dates, with the nights in Makkah and the nights in Madinah.
- The hotel in each city, and how far it is from the Haram or the Prophet's Mosque.
- The room type and who shares it.
- Transport: airport transfers and the journey between Makkah and Madinah.
- The visa and any Nusuk charges, including whether the meal charge is in or out.
- Whether flights are in the price, and if so the airline and baggage.
- Meals, if any, apart from the Nusuk meal charge.
- Ziyarat, if you want it.
- What you pay now, what you pay later, and what happens if something changes.

Which dates suit which family
Check your school or work dates against the table above. The UK February half term falls in the first half of Ramadan, the Christmas break falls in Rajab, and Easter is outside the window. After Hajj 2027
No 1449 dates had been published on 26/10/2026. The Day of Arafah 1448 is expected on 15/05/2027, and last year the next season opened soon after Hajj. That is our own arithmetic, not an announcement. If you want to travel in mid-2027, ask us again after the Ministry publishes the calendar.

Easter Sunday is 28/03/2027, after the last entry date, so not on an Umrah visa.
