Short answer
For the 1448 season, Umrah visas were issued from 31/05/2026 and the last one is issued on 09/03/2027. The last entry is 23/03/2027 and every Umrah visa holder must leave by 07/04/2027. You need a Nusuk permit for the time you perform Umrah, and holders of other visas, including the tourist eVisa, may perform Umrah too.

Each line below is a rule in force on the date above, with the day it started and the official page that says so. When a rule changes we add a dated line under "Latest changes" and correct the table. The full history, with press reports, is in our change log of Umrah rules.

Where the sources disagree
The ministry's FAQ, last updated 19/10/2026, gives two answers on how long an Umrah visa holder may stay: 90 days in one place, and no more than 30 days in another. Either way, you must leave by 07/04/2027. Check the stay printed on your own visa.
The same FAQ says the minimum age for an Umrah visa or permit is 5 years. That answer sits next to answers from the COVID period, so if you are travelling with a child under five, check on Nusuk before you book.
Two rules are widely reported but we could not find them on an official Saudi or Pakistani page on 02/11/2026. Since late October 2025 the press has reported that an Umrah visa is cancelled if you do not enter within 30 days of its issue. Pakistan's airports have also started checking NADRA-linked vaccination records for Umrah travellers, with start dates that moved several times. Plan as if both apply, and ask your agent or airline. Our guide to the NIMS NADRA vaccination certificate has the details we found.
What this means for your dates
Book your flights first and apply for the visa after, so it is issued close to travel. If you want the last ten nights of Ramadan 1448, your visa has to be issued by 09/03/2027 and your trip must end by 07/04/2027. The Umrah calendar 1448 shows how many days are left before each date.
When you land, leave a gap of several hours before your Nusuk permit starts, so a slow queue or the road from Jeddah to Mecca does not cancel it. The Nusuk app guide shows how to book the permit.
Travel advice for Saudi Arabia from the UK, the USA and Canada changed several times in October 2026. It is not an Umrah rule, but it affects your insurance. See Umrah and the regional situation for where to check.
How Maqam e Haram helps
We follow these rules for the families we look after and tell our travellers when one changes. We book the hotels and transport that go into the Nusuk package and plan flights around the season's last dates. We don't issue visas and can't promise one; the Saudi authorities decide. See visa information, or WhatsApp or call +92 309 9022120 if you are not sure how a rule affects your dates.
Questions and answers
Can I perform Umrah on a tourist visa?
Yes. The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah says holders of all visa types, including the tourist eVisa, may perform Umrah. You still need a Nusuk permit for the time you perform it.
How long does Umrah visa approval take?
The ministry publishes no processing time on its FAQ. Apply once your flights are booked, and before the last visa date, 09/03/2027.
Is there an age limit for Umrah?
The ministry's FAQ gives 5 years as the minimum age for an Umrah visa or permit and names no upper age. Some FAQ answers date from the COVID period, so check Nusuk for a child under five.
How much is the Umrah visa fee for Pakistanis?
The ministry's FAQ estimates the Umrah visa fee at SAR 300 and gives no separate figure for Pakistani passports. Maqam e Haram does not sell the visa on its own; it is included in our package quote.
What is the last date for Umrah in 1448?
The last Umrah visa is issued on 09/03/2027, the last entry is 23/03/2027 and the last departure is 07/04/2027.
